Participants touched on various issues regarding the Centers’ work and their plans for ongoing collaboration.

Icelandic Literature Center took part in the annual meeting with the network of Nordic Literary Centers. The meeting was held in Helsinki January 21-23, hosted by Finnish Literature Exchange, FILI.

Participants touched on various issues regarding the Centers’ work and their plans for ongoing collaboration.

The association of Nordic literature centers, NordLit, has had a good and fruitful collaboration for years with the common goal of promoting the increased visibility and distribution of Nordic literature, in various ways.

The staff of the centers exchanged ideas and learnt a lot from each other. Rhe network meets in one of the countries’ capitals in rotation and now it was Finland’s turn, where FILI, the staff of the Finnish Literature Exchange was a great host.

In addition to the Icelandic Literature Center (Islit) the following centers are part of the network; Norla in Norway, Fili in Finland, FarLit in the Faroese Islands, Swedish Arts Council – Literature Exchange in Sweden, The Danish Arts Council in Denmark and Greenlit in Greenland.
