Brynja Hjálmsdóttir (1992) is a poet and author and holds a MA in Creative Writing from the University of Iceland. Her books of poetry Okfruman and Kona lítur við garnered much attention and she is a recipient of the prestigious Ljóðstafur Jóns úr Vör poetry prize and the Vigdís Finnbogadóttir Encouragement Award. Her work has been translated into six languages and appeared in various literary journals and anthologies.
